A magnitude 2.3 earthquake struck East Tennessee last night.
The epicenter was 4 kilometers east southeast of Sweetwater, under a house near the McMinn-Monroe County line.
It struck just after 5:30 p.m. about 10 kilometers below ground, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
