A man was shot this morning in the 6300 block of Walden Ave., not far from the Chattanooga Airport, police said.
Shortly after 1:20 a.m., police located 31-year-old Eric Lamont Cal, suffering from what appeared to be a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the leg, according to a news release.
The victim was inside a residence when gunfire erupted outside the house, police said. He was struck once in the lower left leg while still inside the residence. He was taken to a hospital.
No suspect information was provided by the victim or additional occupants of the residence, police said.
