East Ridge police say a 17-year-old girl accidentally shot herself with a revolver Sunday at the Dogwood Place Apartments on Eads Road.
The girl was visiting the apartment, Capt. Tim Mullinax said in a news release. She was taken to a hospital by a personal vehicle, and no information was available on her condition.
Mullinax said the investigation is ongoing.
