Speed, lack of seat belt blamed in 22-year-old's fatal crash in Chattanooga

A 22-year-old man was speeding early Saturday morning when his car crashed into a house on East 14th Street, police said.

Chadrick R. Sparks, 22, was traveling west when he lost control. The vehicle left the roadway and rolled several times before it hit the house.

Sparks, who was not wearing a safety belt, was partially ejected and died at the scene, police said.

The homeowner was in the house but was uninjured.
