ATLANTA (AP) - Authorities say the husband of a Georgia assistant attorney general has died after being shot at a northeast Atlanta stoplight.

Attorney General Sam Olens says the office is "heartbroken" by Shahriar Zolfaghari's death. Zolfaghari is the husband of Camila Wright, an assistant attorney general in Olens' office who focuses on human trafficking cases.

Media outlets report that a witness saw blood in Zolfaghari's vehicle after approaching the car when it didn't move on a green light at the intersection. Police were called to the scene around 1 a.m. on Wednesday.

Authorities say Zolfaghari was shot twice. Police haven't discussed a motive for the crime or made any arrests.
