Officers with the East Ridge Police Department successfully defused a disorder that could have turned violent Saturday afternoon.
Officers responded to the 5300 block of Lazard Street on a report of a domestic disorder involving two 18-year-olds, Seth and Stormy Duff, according to a press release,
Stormy Duff was detained for disorderly conduct, but Seth Duff threatened to shoot officers and fled into the home. Officers then learned the home was occupied by the couple's infant child and grandmother.
In response, officers then activated the ERPD SWAT team and successfully negotiated the release of the grandmother and child before Seth Duff surrendered peacefully.
In addition to Stormy Duff's charge of disorderly conduct, both Duffs have been charged with assault on police and resisting arrest.
