ROME, Ga. (AP) - Police in the northwest Georgia city of Rome are searching for a suspect after a man was shot in the mouth over the weekend.

Rome police say officers on Saturday night found 43-year-old Arthur T. Adams in the front yard of a home, holding a towel to his mouth. They say that while Adams told an officer that he'd been shot, several shattered teeth fell out of his mouth. He was recovering in a hospital.

The Rome News-Tribune reports that police are searching for a 39-year-old Rome man in the shooting. Police say they're also seeking a second man, who they say ran from officers as he was being questioned about what happened Saturday night.
