An 18-year-old man has been shot twice within a week in Chattanooga, according to police.

Que Vaughn Walker was sleeping inside a home in the 2100 block of Duncan Avenue when he was shot in the arm around 2:45 a.m. today, according to police.

He was also shot in the leg on Friday. Walker told police he was getting into a car in the 2100 block of Duncan Avenue when he heard a faint pop and realized he had been shot.

In today's shooting, the suspects are described as riding in a small gray car.

Neither of Walker's injuries were considered life-threatening. Police are working under the assumption that both incidents are gang-related.

A small group of people are responsible for the majority of Chattanooga's shootings, and it's not uncommon for the same people to be targeted multiple times, according to police.

There have been 17 homicides in Chattanooga so far this year, and about 72 non-fatal shootings, according to Times Free Press records.
