A couple's romantic stop to enjoy the beauty of Signal Mountain ended when the boyfriend fell 30 feet off the side of the mountain.
Walden's Ridge Emergency Service responded to the call and rescued the 25-year-old who was not seriously injured, according to a press release from Hamilton County Emergency Services. The man, who was not identified, said he did not need an ambulance and just needed help getting up safely.
The man said heavy piles of leaves and brush cushioned his fall. The rescue took about 45 minutes, and the man was treated at the scene, according to the release.
