UT Freshman charged in theft of items worth more than $100,000 [video]

University of Tennessee graduate student Joy Buongiorno helped UT police nab a suspect, 20-year-old freshman Yibo 'David' Hwang, in connection to the theft of more than 100 laptops, cameras and lab devices valued at more than $100,000 according to a report by the Knoxville News Sentinel.

Hwang was arrested Friday and a police search of his room netted items linked to 10 open theft reports on campus. He has been charged with eight counts of felony theft.
