One man is dead after a crash last night shortly after 8 p.m. on Lee Highway involving a motorcycle and a convertible.
Henry Cofrancesco, 33, was pulling out of a parking lot at 5950 Lee Highway in a 2015 BMW convertible when he struck the motorcyclist, Robert Benedict, 60, who was pronounced dead on scene, according to a release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
No charges have been filed at this time, but a blood search warrant was obtained and executed. The results of that test will determine if any charges will be filed in relation to intoxication.
