Volunteer firefighter injured battling wildfires

A wildfire has consumed more than 300 acres in the Martha's Falls and County Road 861 area south of Highway 35.

A volunteer firefighter was injured while battling wildfires on Arnat Drive this morning.

The firefighter sustained a lower leg injury and will be transported to Memorial Hospital in Hixson.

Here is the latest information on the wildfires spanning more than 1,100 acres.
