An Alabama man was arrested Saturday after a witness said he fired a gun while driving on Interstate 75 in Bradley County.

Neil Edward Irby Jr., 18, of Satsuma, Ala., was charged with reckless endangerment, according to a news release from the Bradley County Sheriff's Office.

The release said a 911 call reported gunfire coming from a black vehicle on the interstate. A deputy later saw the vehicle on Georgetown Road and pulled the driver over.

The deputy saw the driver had a gun holster on his hip, and a passenger said the driver had fired at the ground because a vehicle was driving recklessly around them on the interstate. A gun was found in the car, the release stated.
