A large house fire in Ooltewah destroyed a home Thanksgiving night, according to a press release from Hamilton County Emergency Services.
A man awoke to the smell of smoke in his home on the 5500 block of Twin Oaks Drive and called to report the fire at 8:07 p.m.
The first firefighters on scene reported 80 percent of the home was fully involved in the fire when they arrived, according to the release.
No injuries were reported.
The house is at a total lost, and damages are listed at $175,000, according to the release.
The cause of the fire is not known at this time and is being investigated by the Tri-Community Fire Marshall's Office.
