1. Chattanooga Oktoberfest and Oktoberfest 5K

Chattanooga's oldest and largest Oktoberfest celebration takes place at the Chattanooga Market Saturday from 10 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Sunday 11 a.m. - 5p.m. The free annual festival features brats and other German inspired foods, four bier gartens featuring over 99 local and season craft brews, and the Wurstbrats Oompah Band.

The 5K will begin Saturday at 8 a.m.

2. Rock City's Blowing Springs Farm Featuring the Enchanted Maize

Rock City offers a local family favorite that will be sure to be a hit with the kids. Enjoy the corn maize, live animals, new pumpkin market, tractor rides and more.

3. Cleveland Apple Festival

While not technically in Chattanooga, this Cleveland-based event is a local favorite that truly has something for people of all ages. It will take place in Downtown Cleveland Saturday from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and 1-6 p.m. Sunday. The cost is $5 for adults, $4 for senior adults and children ages 4-12, $20 family pass for two adults and up to four children. The event features craft and food vendors, music and a free kids zone.

4. Gallery At Blackwell Fall Show

Looking to do something inside while enjoying the local arts scene? The Photographic Society of Chattanooga currently has its Fall Show going at the Gallery at Blackwell. The theme is "Around The Town." The Gallery's hours are Monday-Friday 8 AM to 5:30 PM and Saturday 8 AM to 12 PM. The show runs until Nov. 4, 2016.

5. 10th Annual Gordon County Antique Engine and Tractor Club Show

Of the events that made this list, this is the farthest away, but what would Fall be without tractors? Well, for starters, we wouldn't have as much food, but this event features more than just a good meal. You can enjoy the daily power parade, tractor games, vendors, exhibits, demonstrations, games for the kids, wheat threshing, baling and more. The event runs Friday and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m. The cornbread dinner begins Saturday at 11 a.m.

6. Fall into Fun

Two local artists, Dee Grove and Kimberly McMillian, combine their talents onto tiles, woods, canvas and a little more Oct. 15, from 1 - 3 p.m. at ArtCrafters in historic downtown Dayton, TN. Their exhibit will be on display from Oct. 15 - Nov. 2.

2. Haunted Barn

3. The Haunted Hilltop

* Possesses: A haunted hayride through woods and a cornfield, haunted house, state-of-the-art props, bonfires, concessions, outdoor television, music.

4. Acres of Darkness Haunted Woods and Family Adventure
