Police arrest Dodds Avenue shooting suspect

One man has been arrested without incident in connection to a shooting late Friday morning on Dodds Avenue.

Authorities were first called to the scene on the 700 block of Dodds Avenue about 11:50 a.m. and found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening graze wound, according to a release.

Witnesses at the scene were able to record a tag number and gave that information to police who were able to locate the suspect, Jamichael Eddins, 22, at a home on the 1400 block of Carousel Road. He was taken into custody within 2 hours of the incident.

According to police, evidence indicates the shooting stemmed from an alleged drug deal.

Eddins has been booked at the Hamilton County Jail on attempted murder and firearm felony charges.
