The Chattanooga Housing Authority has named Ijeomma Ike as its new in-house counsel.

According to a news release, Ike is a Nashville native who graduated in 2009 from Fisk University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She earned her law degree from Mississippi College of Law in 2012 and worked in the housing law unit of West Tennessee Legal Services Inc. before joining CHA.

"We're very excited to have Ijeoma Ike as the newest member of the CHA team," Executive Director Betsy McCright said in the release.

"To have an attorney with her expertise combined with her understanding of the workings of Housing Authorities, makes her a perfect fit for our needs."
