Authorities are investigating a possible arson fire that occurred last night in Ooltewah.
At 10:45 p.m., a Woodland Drive resident reported a neighbor's house was on fire. Crews responding to the fire found the house fully engulfed, and overgrowth on the property made access to the house difficult, according to a news release from for Hamilton County Emergency Services.
The home had been abandoned for several years and did not have electricity. It was a total loss.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
