End Zone in East Ridge scored a failing 68 on its health inspection released Dec. 30.
The bar and grill located at 3658 Ringgold Road failed because of a complete lack of general cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and on preparation areas, the health inspector noted. The inspector also found spoiled soup in a cooler and clean plates stored on dirty surfaces.
Cleaning products were stored with dishes and numerous non-food contact surfaces were dirty throughout kitchen, according to the inspector.
It was the second failing grade of the year for End Zone. The bar and grill failed a June inspection for a litany of reasons.
An End Zone spokesperson posted a response to the bar and grill's Facebook page claiming it did not sell soup, but that the soup was for employees and had not been thrown out. The spokesperson claimed the kitchen was clean and wrote "make your own opinions before you judge!"
