Hamilton County Department of Education announces new assistant principal appointments

More than 20 Hamilton County Schools will have new assistant principals when school starts back next month.

Hamilton County Schools announced new assistant principal appointments and reassignments Wednesday afternoon. New principal assignments were announced in May. 

Zac Brown, assistant superintendent of school operations, said he's confident these new assistant principals will accelerate student learning across Hamilton County.

"Strong leadership teams in every school are vital to success, and assistant principals are a critical factor in this equation," Brown said in a statement. 

The new assistant principal appointments are:

  • Central High School Michelle Cochran

  • East Ridge High School Valery Taylor
