Training questioned after Tennessee officers attacked while transferring inmates

There is no Tennessee state standard for best practices on how all law enforcement officers should transport inmates, one of the most dangerous parts of their job.

Recent attacks by two inmates in transit left three officers shot, both inmates dead and questions about what training those officers received before the altercations.

"That is a real, real issue," said Tony Wilkes, chief of corrections for the Davidson County Sheriff's Office.
