3 gang members arrested on attempted murder charges in connection with April shooting

After nearly three months, three suspects have been arrested and charged with the attempted murder of 24-year-old Dequan Jamal Duke in April, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

Darrien Metcalf, 21, Demarcus Hubbard, 18, and Tadarius Hester, 18, have been charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony and reckless endangerment.

All suspects are gang members.

Duke was shot in the Woodlawn apartments parking lot on Tuesday, April 25 and arrived at Memorial Hospital that night via his own personal vehicle to be treated for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
