Police are looking for for a man who drove off in a vehicle Tuesday afternoon with a woman asleep in the back seat, according to a Chattanooga Police Department news release.
Officers responded to a kidnapping report about 1 p.m. at the Lowe's parking lot at the 5400 block of Highway 153.
The victim told police she was sleeping in the back of her boyfriend's 2008 Chevy Avalanche while he went into the store.
When she woke up she saw a strange man driving the vehicle. When the victim asked the man who he was, he pulled back into the parking lot and exited the vehicle.
The victim was not injured during the incident.
Members of the violent crimes bureau are following all actionable leads.
