mapUPDATE: Chattanooga police have arrested a suspect and identified the victim in Friday's homicide at a Hixson Pike gas station.
Ember Lee Cash Elm, 26, also known as Emily Leanne Brooks, has been charged with criminal homicide and possession of a weapon (felon) in the shooting death of 28-year-old Eric Burchfield, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating an early Friday morning homicide at the 4800 block of Hixson Pike, where a Circle K gas station is located.

Police received a person shot call at 3:25 a.m. Friday morning.
Police arrived on scene and located the victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
The victim was pronounced dead on scene by emergency officials.
Officials ask anyone in the area that may have heard or witnessed anything suspicious to please call investigators using the Homicide Tip Line 423-643-5100.
The victim's name will be released after the victim's family is notified.
