Aldo F. Avila, 35, was indicted and arrested for sexual assault of a of a probationer or parolee after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation looked into allegations of an inappropriate relationship.
The Whitfield County Sheriff's Office and the Georgia Department of Community Supervision initially asked the GBI to investigation the allegations in June 2016.
According to the request, Avila was alleged to have carried on an inappropriate relationship with a parolee/probationer under his supervision.
The GBI's Calhoun office investigated and a Whitfield County Grand Jury indicted Avila with one county of sexual assault of a probationer or parolee.
Avila was arrested on March 3, and was released from the Whitfield County Jail on bond.
