The Tivoli Theatre Foundation has launched a new VIP program aimed at helping raise money to preserve the Tivoli and Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium.

The new program - Friends of the Tivoli - announced Friday by the Tivoli Theatre Foundation will offer member-only events, ticket pre-sale opportunities, VIP parking, access to dining and parking at both the Walden and Mountain City clubs on show nights, and personal concierge service through the box office.

Keith Sanford, Tivoli Theatre Foundation board chairman, said funds from the program will allow the foundation to make needed improvements to continue providing vibrant theatrical and performing arts events, make improvements to facilities, underwrite strategic community partnerships, and ensure top-notch experiences at both venues.

"This new initiative ensures that future generations will have access to our world-class venues that serve as a vital centerpiece of Chattanooga's cultural and economic fabric," Sanford said.

There are different levels of support, with each offering different benefits. The "Friend" level, for example, is $249 and gets you advanced notice of show announcements and on-sales dates and recognition on the tivolichattanooga.com website. The 1921 Society Platinum option starts at $10,000 and offers use of the Tivoli reception space, naming opportunities and a complimentary Tivoli Theatre event ticket package, in addition to all of the other benefits.

"Countless Chattanoogans have experienced their first movie, concert, or Broadway show at the Tivoli or Memorial Auditorium," said Nick Wilkinson, director of development for the Tivoli Theatre Foundation. "These venues hold a special place in so many people's hearts, and our Friends program will ensure that these theatres and their programming remain world class, and at the same time provide innovative benefits that make supporting the venues a unique opportunity."

Since the Tivoli Theatre Foundation formed in 2015, its city-owned theaters have seen an increase in use and attendance. In fiscal year 2015-16, gross ticket-sale revenues from concerts increased by 87 percent, or $1,825,590.
