The 11th Annual Regional Science Olympiad was held Tuesday at Chattanooga State Community College. Twenty-six teams from Hamilton County Schools competed against six teams made up of private school students, schools from Cleveland, as well as homeschoolers.

Nearly three dozen volunteers from Chattanooga State, Tennessee America Water Company and TVA judged and helped out with the events. Competitions as diverse as Rock Star, Backyard Botany Hot! Hot! Hot!, and 3,2,1 Blast Off highlighted the day of science.
