In this April 2017 file photo, a Chattanooga police officer talks with witnesses and bystanders at the scene of a collision between a pedestrian and a vehicle at the intersection of Market Street and Sixth Street. There was no information available from officials on the scene but a couple of bystanders said a woman was crossing Market Street in the northern crosswalk when she was struck.

Two people were struck by a vehicle Monday morning and transported to a hospital. The extent of their injuries was not determined, though they didn't appear to be life threatening, said police spokeswoman Elisa Myzal. 

The driver of the vehicle that allegedly struck the pedestrians remained at the scene.
