UPDATE: Bonny Oaks has reopened.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Chattanooga Police Department has confirmed one person has died after a motorcycle and pickup truck collided this afternoon.
The accident took place in the 6900 block of Bonny Oaks Drive at approximately 4:30 p.m., police spokesman Rob Simmons said in an email.
The Chattanooga Police Department tweeted this evening that Bonny Oaks Drive is closed between Volkswagen Drive and Hickory Valley Road due to the traffic crash investigation.
The police department will release more investigation details when they become available, Simmons said.
