Bryan College is the newest partner to sign on with Hamilton County Schools' Future Ready Institutes initiative.

The Bryan College Institute of Leadership, Business and Marketing launched this fall at East Hamilton School and was announced Friday.

"Bryan College is proud to be a part of such a promising new program," said Stephen Livesay, president of Bryan College, in a statement. "Preparing students to be ready for the next chapter in their lives is a natural role for us and we look forward to how the Institute of Leadership, Business and Marketing will do just that. We have a long-term commitment to this program and are eager to meet our first classes of students."

The Future Ready Institutes, announced in March, are small learning academies embedded in the district's traditional high schools. Each institute is centered around an industry theme and combines career and technical education with other work-based learning opportunities for students.

The goal of the partnership between East Hamilton and Bryan College is to provide students with continued opportunities after high school, according to a news release.

"A big focus for us is making sure our graduates are ready for the challenges of the future they will face after high school," said Blake Freeman, director of Future Ready Institutes for Hamilton County Schools, in a statement. "Partners such as Bryan College are helping pave the way to achieving this goal."

Bryan College is a private Christian college located in Dayton, Tennessee. The college offers 25 majors and has an undergraduate enrollment of about 1,000 students.

The district had previously announced two institutes intended for East Hamilton School: the TIE Institute: Tinker, Innovate, Engineer, and the CLIMB Institute: The Canes Leadership Institute of Marketing and Business. The CLIMB institute has been rebranded after Bryan College's partnership.

The Future Ready Institutes launched along with the beginning of the 2018-2019 school year, with more than 1,000 students enrolled. The institutes began with a cohort of freshmen in 14 of the district's high schools; industry themes include health care, aviation, advanced manufacturing, computer sciences and more.
