Malcolm McKoy, 37, was found suffering from a gunshot wound Thursday night in the 2200 block of E 25th Street. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and died the following day.

Police conducted a preliminary investigation of the fatal shooting before arresting and charging a juvenile Friday night with criminal homicide and possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony. Police are withholding the suspect's name.

On the following night, officers responded to two separate shootings back-to-back that proved to be non-fatal.

Deutrich James, 26, arrived at a hospital with a minor gunshot wound after being shot on the 1300 block of Wheeler Avenue. No suspect information was given by police.

Half an hour later, officers were dispatched to the 4300 block of Howell Road on a report of a home invasion, but found neither of the victims had been injured. They told police someone had entered the home with a firearm, shots were fired and the man fled.

A suspect, Damean Jones, 21, turned up at the hospital later that night with multiple gunshot wounds and police discovered he had warrants out for aggravated assault and aggravated burglary.

Finally, authorities are on the lookout for someone who burglarized the County Mart convenience store at 1600 Mayflower Road in Soddy-Daisy early Monday morning.

The person broke into the store at about 3:30 a.m., doing several thousand dollars worth of damage and making off with a load of cigarettes worth another several thousand dollars.

Investigators are still examining the circumstances around each of these incidents, and anyone with information about the shootings is encouraged to call Chattanooga police at 423-698-2525. Information about Monday morning's burglary should be relayed to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office at 423-209-8902.
