Mommy to Be at Parkridge East
Expectant mothers and one guest are invited to Mommy to Be, a maternity event at Parkridge East Hospital on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The event features a presentation and Q&A with expert clinicians, including obstetricians, neonatologists, labor and delivery nurses, NICU nurses, lactation experts and others who will discuss the complete labor and delivery experience. Topics will include swaddling and wrapping a newborn, diaper changing and cord care, bathing a newborn, lactation, CPR and choking, nutrition, pelvic floor physical therapy and car seat safety.
In addition, there will be a vendor fair, a class presented by First Things First and a special baby shower. Breakfast and lunch are provided.

New Erlanger East building
Members of the community can get a behind-the-scenes look of the new Erlanger East Hospital C Building during an open house on Thursday, Jan. 17, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Attendees can tour new physician practices, Erlanger Cancer Institute departments, meet providers and see new technology. Services now offered include Erlanger Center for Breast Health, Erlanger Dermatology, Erlanger Pulmonary and Critical Care, Erlanger Medical Genetics, Erlanger Oncology and Hematology, Erlanger Radiation Oncology and Infusion Departments.
Erlanger Urology offers evening hours
Area residents with busy work schedules now have improved access to treatment for common urological issues like bladder infections, kidney stones and urinary tract infections.
Extended office hours will be available at the UT Erlanger Urology office at Erlanger East Hospital. Every Monday, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., specialists will be available to treat those needing urological care - including walk-ins and new patients.

Mobile mammography
CHI Memorial's mobile health coach will provide mammography screenings at Benchmark Physical Therapy on Monday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
Women between ages 35-40 should have one screening mammogram to look for hidden breast changes. After age 40, a screening mammogram is recommended every year. Those who fall under these guidelines and haven't received a mammogram in the past 12 months may participate with or without insurance.
Participants should bring their insurance card, photo ID and know their doctor's first and last name. Financial assistance may be available for those without insurance.

Lung screenings offered this month
CHI Memorial's mobile lung CT coach will be at CHI Memorial Chest and Lung Cancer Center on East 3rd Street during the month of January.
Lung cancer screening is a test to look for signs of lung cancer in otherwise healthy people. Screenings are available Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
