Heritage Middle School student John Courtney won the 2018 Times Free Press Regional Spelling Bee on Saturday by correctly spelling the word "Stalactite." Courtney will move on to compete in the National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C.

St. Nicholas School student Alisha Chandra won 2nd place in the spelling bee, and CSAS student Anirudhha Harsha won 3rd place.
