You'll need the DVR  Wednesday night — the Chattanooga area will be represented on competing television networks.

Damon Gillespie, graduate of Chattanooga Center for Creative Arts, has a guest spot on "Empire," which airs at 8 p.m. on Fox. Gillespie most recently starred in NBC's teen drama "Rise."

Other guest stars in this episode, titled "Treasons, Strategems and Spoils," include Vivica A. Fox and Joss Stone.

Over on ABC, former Chattanooga resident Kane Brown has been announced as a presenter for "The 52nd Annual CMA Awards." Hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, the Country Music Association show airs live from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, starting at 8 p.m.

Rossville native Lauren Alaina is up for New Artist of the Year, her second time to be nominated for the award, and will be performing.

Also look for shout-outs for WUSY-FM during the Broadcast Awards, whose winners already have been announced. US101 won as Medium Market Radio Station of the Year, and Ken Hicks, Kelley Bradshaw and Daniel Wyatt were named Medium Market Personality of the Year.
