A Dunlap, Tennessee, man who was last seen nearly a year ago remains the subject of a missing person investigation, authorities suspect foul play and the case is being considered a homicide.

Dunlap police Chief Clint Huth said the department needs help from the public in the search for Matthew Tyler Henry, who was 29 when he was last seen in Dunlap on April 15, 2018.

"Over this past year detectives and officers have met with over an estimated 200 individuals concerning Matt's disappearance, with over an additional 50 individuals being formally interviewed," Huth said in a news release.

Authorities believe Henry is the victim of foul play and the case is being investigated as a homicide, Huth said, noting the FBI, TBI and Sequatchie County Sheriff's Office have had roles in the ongoing investigation.

Police say Henry has not contacted his friends or family. He is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes.

"Based on evidence collected through interviews, it is believed that there are individuals in Dunlap and the surrounding area that are involved, and that there are others who have specific knowledge in Matt's disappearance," Huth said.

The chief called for people to "pray for Matt's family" and the investigators in the case.

Anyone who may have information about Henry's disappearance is asked to call Dunlap Police Department detective Robert Raber at 423-949-3319.
