UPDATE: Chattanooga police identify victim in Aug. 16 deadly stabbing

UPDATE: Chattanooga police have identified the victim from a fatal stabbing on Aug. 16 as 44-year-old Christopher Hedrick, according to a news release Tuesday. The deadly stabbing took place in the 1200 block of East Main Street.

Chattanooga Police ask anyone with information regarding this incident to call the homicide tip line at 423-643-5100 or submit a tip through the CPD Mobile App. Tipsters can remain anonymous.

Chattanooga police are investigating a deadly stabbing that took place early Friday morning.

Police were called to the 1200 block of East Main Street for an "unknown medical" incident.

There, they found a 44-year-old man who had sustained a stab wound. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

The man has not been identified, as police are still working to notify his family.
