The Chattanooga Labor Day Parade and Picnic was held by the Chattanooga Area Labor Council on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2019, in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The parade spanned from Cherry Street to Coolidge Park. The event was held to celebrate what the council called "everyday workers," including teachers, painters, iron workers, postal workers, bus drivers and more. The Chattanooga Area Labor Council is a regional body with a membership of 17 local labor unions representing more than 5,000 workers in the Chattanooga area.
