Chattanooga police are investigating a shooting that happened Saturday night on Fourth Avenue.
Responding to a call at about 10:53 p.m., police learned that a 26-year-old woman with a gunshot injury had been taken to a local hospital, according to a news release.
The woman stated that she had been shot shortly after exiting her vehicle.
Police were able to locate a crime scene at 2413 4th Ave., according to the release.
The investigation is ongoing, and Chattanooga police ask anyone with information regarding the incident to call the homicide tip line at 423-643-5100 or submit a tip through the CPD Mobile App. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
