One dead after shooting in Summerville

The Summerville Police Department is investigating a shooting that killed one person late Monday night.

According to a news release from the department, officers arrived at a home on the 100 block of Kelly Street in Summerville at about 11 p.m. Monday after getting a call about a domestic dispute.

Officers found 51-year-old Ronald Moates dead when they arrived. It was determined that Moates lived at the address, according to a news release.

A crime scene technician with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation processed the scene.

The Summerville Police Department interviewed one person after the shooting, but no arrests had been made as Tuesday evening.

The investigation is ongoing.
