Suspect in last week's officer-involved shooting released from hospital, booked into Hamilton County Jail

The suspect in last week's officer-involved shooting has been released from the hospital and booked into the Hamilton County Jail, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

Camaron Billips, 23, was shot by Chattanooga police after threatening them with a firearm on July 25 as they served a search warrant for illegal firearms.

He faces 11 charges, including four counts of aggravated assault on police, possession of a firearm in commission of a dangerous felony, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of heroin for resale, possession of crack for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance and criminal conspiracy to sell heroin.

Two other men are also facing charges related to the incident.

Demetrius Bibbs, 27, and Carmen Noble, 26, face charges of possession of heroin for resale, possession of crack cocaine for resale, possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession of a schedule II controlled substance and criminal conspiracy to sell heroin.
