Thursday night shooting marks Chattanooga's seventh in eight days

Four people were injured in separate shootings in Chattanooga between Wednesday night and Thursday night.

On Wednesday, a 15-year-old girl was shot in the 1200 block of East 35th Street just before 10 p.m.

Her father called police after having taken her to a local hospital for treatment. Her condition was not known.

Then at around 4 a.m. Thursday, two men were shot multiple times in the 1500 block of Bradt Street.

The victims, a 35-year-old and a 36-year-old, told police they had been shot while sitting on a front porch.

Both men were taken to a local hospital for treatment. Their conditions were also not known at press time.

Another man was injured in a Thursday night shooting on Kayla Circle. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The shootings were just the latest in a string of seven shootings over the course of eight days within Chattanooga. Eight people were injured, including two deaths.

Robert Gill, 29, was found dead of a gunshot wound in the 3200 South Street on June 19. Police have not made an arrest in the case.

Five days later, on June 24, Douglas Holmes, 35, was shot to death in the 2000 block of Portland Street. Police found him lying on the kitchen floor of a home. He had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
