Big Kahuna Wings, a Knoxville-based restaurant known for its award-winning wings, announced Thursday that it has opened its first location in downtown Chattanooga.

According to a news release, Chattanooga will make the third location for the restaurant, with the other two locations being in Knoxville. It was founded by Knoxville native and former UTC student Matt Beeler.

Beeler is also the creator of the popular Big Kahuna Wing Festival, an annual event which takes place at Knoxville's World's Fair Park. The new location is at 203 W. Aquarium Way next to the Tennessee Aquarium.

The family-owned restaurant will be open seven days a week and will include a full bar, according to the statement. The restaurant's menu will center around their all-natural, made fresh-to-order dry rub wings.
