Chattanooga police arrest suspect in Sunday shooting death of 70-year-old man

Chattanooga police have made an arrest in the shooting death of 70-year-old Floyd Preston.

According to a news release, 68-year-old Marvin Preston has been charged with criminal homicide, and is being held in the Hamilton County Jail.

On Sunday, Nov. 24, Chattanooga police responded to a call of gunshots being fired on the 1600 block of Dogwood Drive. The call came in at about 6:01 p.m., police said.

When officers arrived, they found the victim, Floyd Preston, who died from a gunshot wound.
