Man injured in Friday night shooting

A man arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wound Friday night, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.

The 31-year-old man told police he was in the area of Union Avenue and South Kelly Street at around 7:58 p.m. Friday when he was shot. He said he managed to flag down a driver of a passing vehicle who dropped him off at the hospital.

Police have not been able to locate a crime scene, a news release states.
