Two fires in the same Chattanooga neighborhood Sunday morning could be connected, fire department investigators said.

In a news release, Chattanooga Fire Department spokeswoman Lindsey Rogers said crews were dispatched to a burning shed in the 4000 block of 12th Avenue about 4:20 a.m.

As they were fighting that fire, police officers alerted them to a house fire just a few hundred feet away in the 4200 block of Dodds Avenue.

More units were called in and flames were found coming from the entire back of the house, Rogers said.

Both fires were extinguished and no injuries were reported.

Fire investigators said early indications are that the blazes might be related.
