Terrence Lewis, the man formerly accused of killing 20-year-old Evan Derry in December 2017, has once again been arrested for the crime.

Lewis was initially arrested in January 2018. His case was sent to the grand jury, which indicted him on the robbery charge but declined to indict him.

Now, after a "continued investigation by the Chattanooga Police Department's Homicide Unit," according to a police department news release, new information came to light and gave officers new probable cause to rearrest Lewis.

He again faces charges of robbery and criminal homicide.

Lewis is set to appear in court on Oct. 1.
