Chattanooga police are investigating after a shooting Wednesday evening left one woman injured.
Responding to a call of a person shot just before 5:30 p.m., police arrived in the 600 block of Belle Vista Avenue and located a 52-year-old victim who said she had been standing by her car when a vehicle she didn't recognize pulled up. Shots were fired and she was wounded, according to a news release.
She was transported to a local hospital. Her condition was not released by police.
No suspect information has been made available either.
The investigation is ongoing, the release states.
