The family of Jaclyn Carroll (Markcloud), who has been missing since Sept. 21 or 22, has identified the body found on McCann Drive Wednesday evening, according to Cleveland, Tennessee, police.

However, investigators are still waiting for the official confirmation, which will come upon completion of the autopsy performed by the Bradley County Medical Examiner's Office, a news release states.

Until then, investigators will continue to investigate all possibilities until the victim's identity is confirmed.

The body, confirmed by police to be that of a female, was found not far from where a man's body was found on Monday afternoon.

Both cases are being treated as homicides and police believe they are connected.

The man, identified as 38-year-old James Ledford, was found "concealed" in a 1995 Chevrolet S10 extended cab pickup truck. It was parked on a rocky gravel drive in a far corner of the Fort Hill Cemetery just off the 1000 block of South Ocoee Street, partially hidden by trees between the Hiwassee Mental Health Center and the cemetery.

Carroll-Markcloud was last seen with Ledford in the truck between Sept. 21 and 22, police said. Her family had reported her as missing and endangered.

"These homicides do not appear to be random acts of violence, rather crimes that were committed against specifically targeted individuals," Cleveland police said in a statement.

They are asking anyone with information on Ledford, Carroll-Markcloud, or the crimes committed against them, to share information with police by calling 423-559-3365. Tipsters can leave a message on this secure line and an investigator will return the call.
