Chattanooga police are investigating a homicide that happened on Taylor Street early Sunday morning, according to a news release from the Chattanooga Police Department.
Just after 5 a.m., officers arrived at 1900 Taylor Street to find 38-year-old Cartrvous Moore with multiple apparent gunshot wounds.
Emergency services, as well as the Chattanooga Fire Department, responded and pronounced Moore as deceased on the scene.
Several people in the area told police that they heard multiple gunshots around the hour of 5 a.m.
The investigation is ongoing, and Chattanooga police ask anyone with information about it to call the homicide tip line at 423-643-5100 or submit a tip through the CPD mobile app. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
