The coroner in DeKalb County, Alabama, has determined that a man originally thought to have been killed when his tractor overturned on County Road 212 on July 27 had a heart attack prior to the tractor crashing.

DeKalb County Deputy Coroner Bruce Wilson said Friday that 62-year-old Terry Glenn Pigg of Collinsville suffered a fatal myocardial infarction, or heart attack, prior to his John Deere tractor leaving the road and overturning.

The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said in its initial news release on the accident that Pigg was driving when his tractor left the road and overturned. The law enforcement agency also issued a statement Friday updating the cause of Pigg's death.
